The successful candidate will be working for a rapidly growing family owned business who operate in the facilities and maintenance services industry based in Chorley.
In this new role you will be supporting the Directors and Accounts Team in all aspects of accounting and costing ensuring the profit of the company and growth still keeps intact and is smart and efficient.
The business has experienced a large period of growth consistently through the years and you will be tasked with implementing efficiencies and controls whilst supporting from a commercial angle.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Control and deliver daily admin tasks.
  • Accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Take ownership and engage with resolving day-to-day team issues and resolve
  • Payroll preparing
  • Ensure invoicing and targets for invoicing are met within the team
  • Processes on payable is more cost effective
  • Cash flow is kept at ease with preventative measures in place
  • Support of quarterly VAT returns
  • Sales and margin analysis knowledge
  • Use of xero and thorough understanding
  • Excel extensive knowledge.
  • Profit and loss
  • Costing efficiently with margins
  • Driving profit of the company is no.1
  • Sub-contractor processes in place with efficient rates and PO’s.
  • Working to ensure customer accounts are upto date.

You will be qualified at AAT , ACA, ACCA or CIMA and will have a good solid background/understanding in accounting. You will ideally have experience of working within a team and have the ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure.

Also open to embrace change for requirements to ensure smooth processes and profit building. This position will grow within to the right candidate and will work alongside our maintenance team also.

To assist/support the Management in all their day to day duties within a maintenance and repairs company in the commercial sector including –

  • Highly motivated individual with team lead and customer experience
  • Assistance in planning/booking in works with clients – access arrangements, updates, communication.
  • Speaking to engineers on current jobs and planned jobs.
  • Updating client portals as and when required – Elogs, Fix Flow, Trinity, Workspace, GEP.
  • To learn/shadow the general managers and maintenance teams checks and compliance.
  • Going through the schedule checking on CED’s/FED’s and material orders. Making sure jobs are updated and have the relevant information on.
  • Booking travel arrangement for future works – travel/hotels/materials etc.
  • To be able to carry out all duties required to cover the GM when unavailable/at meetings.
  • Cost saving focused and can analyse losses and productive works in practice.
  • To be able to challenge and manage our framework support effectively.
  • Knowledge of quoting and costing.
  • To be able to follow instructions from the Directors and find a solution and prioritise and action effectively.
  • Support with staff and holidays making sure they are on the planner, liaising with HR to ensure we have covered any leave etc.
  • Advanced in Microsoft applications – excel/outlook/powerpoint.
